Thankful Thursday
I am thankful for...
1.Wind. It reminds me of days past (strange, I know).
2. Books, just love to read!
3. Wind chimes (points back to wind!).
4. The lady bug (God took such detail when he painted those spots!).
5. These beloved keys of mine:
6. The power of healing through Jesus Christ (we are praying for that right now as there is sickness in our house).
Now how about sharing your thankful list with me...

Memorial Box Monday: Memories
I personaly love memories! Isn't that what Memorial Box Monday is about? Looking back at all the memories we have, looking back on the GOD memories. If you have read my blog for a while, you will probably remeber we moved in July, so this last weekend, we went back to help our old neighbors move. These neighbors are truly like family to us, and their story of faith is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! So, as I went down to the pond, and the tree house, and our fort one last time, I remembed all the shared MEMORIES. I think back to all the hours spent there, all the memories made there. Looking back on the MEMORIES today...

Love: part four (2012 Study)
(if you have not read part one, two, or three, scroll down to lables and click on 2012 Study)
In part one I posted these three questions:
What is love?
How much does God love me?
Do we love God?
I started to answer the first one, but I want to follow up with that. Here is the Bible defenition for love:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always proects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
1 Corithians 13:4-7
Wow! That is the true meaning. Do you think we really love our neighbor like this? Do you treat the people at your work with love? Love is the most important commandment! So now to start answering the second question. How much does God love me?
God's love is impossible to explain. It is far beyond our words or understamding. this is the best answer I can give you:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
God gave his only son so he could save us. He did that just for us. That is how great God's love is for us. Moving on to the third question. Do we love God?
That is a question only you can answer. The bible says that part of loving God, is obeying him. So ask your self, do I obey God? If you are thinking right now I never hear from God, you are just not listening. He will speak. Ask him to. Start obeying scripture. Does your every day life have the love of God in it? Are you loving your neighbor as your self? Love is te GREATEST comandment.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul amd with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neghbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:30-31

3. Music! I love making it, and praising the Lord with it!
4. Colors! What would life be like without the wonderful vibrant colors!
5. Pure, clean water. Something simple, that we use and drink every day, but one of the most important things to our body, water!
6. Stars. No one but God knows the number of them, they twinkle in the night sky. Reminding us of the beautiful light that God made for night.
7. Light! What would life be with out light? We are the light of the world!
8. Fingers and toes!
I am taking Thursdays here on my blog, to look at all I am thankful for. I think it is a very important thing to do. I encourage you to make your own thankful lists on the comments, starting with 5 things!

New Idea!?!?
Hey guys I have this idea, tell me what you think...
Thanksgiving of 2011 I posted my thankful list and asked you to post yours. It is so meaningful (in my opinion) to look back on all the blessings God has given us. So, one of my best friends, Emily, said I could post hers as an example for this idea. Here is it:
I am thankful for: 1. To live in a safe home and country. 2. To worship God freely. 3. Friends and family. 4. Enough clothes and money to last me forever. 5. JESUS!!!!! 6. Great parents who support me in whatever!!!!! Thanks for the great idea Katy!!!! I think sometimes we forget how much we have to be thankful for.
So my idea is that each week we have a day called Thankful Thursday. I will share a list of at least 5 things that I am thankful for, and you all, on the comments list at least 5 things you are thankful for. Okay, tell me what you think...

Today we started CO-OP with our home school group! I LOVED it!!!!! I am doing Drama (my favorite!), Crochet, and Decidedly Different (a girls bible study). There is only one other girl in the crochet class and guess what... her name was Katy too! And in drama there was another Katy, and a Kala. And in the bible study there was the Kala again! I loved meeting new people, and seeing people we knew from piano. Loved being around lots of other home schoolers! Before we moved our latest time, we knew two families that home schooled. TWO!!!! Drama was my personal favorite! I loved the teacher, and she was the bible study teacher too! How cool is that?!?! In drama we played a game to help our memorization. Let's see if I can remember...
... The worlds greatest sandwich has relish, bell peppers, pig eyes, olives, mayo, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, shark tale, bacon, peanut butter, marsh mellows, turtles, jolly ranchers, grandma hair, and strawberries!
How was that for the first day?! Claire is doing something with Lego's (she loves building stuff with them!) and karate! And one of the best parts of CO-OP is that it is super fun and...
... IT IS COUNTED AS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I am really pumped about this. If you are home schooled, TRY THE CO-OP!!!! It is sooooo much fun! Well, better get back to that really good book I am reading! Blessings on your week!!!!

Memorial Box Monday: The Rainbow
Way back in Genesis, there was a flood, meant to wash the world clean of sin. God saved 2 of every species, and his one faithful servant and his family. After the flood, he made a oath to Noah, there would never be a flood to wipe out almost the entire population of the world again. As a sign of this promise, God put his rainbow in the clouds, and today, when we see those vibrant colors in the sky, we remember. God's promise to Noah and to us. That reminder comes to me just when I need it. That rainbow shows up at just the right time. To remind us that God is faithful. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow too. The rainbow, a beautiful, vibrant thing that God put in the sky, just to remind us of his mercy, love, grace, and promise. Let's look at that rainbow in our life today, and remember the promise God has given us all.
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful."
Hebrews 10:23

"Normal"
Wow, is all I can say. Our last few weeks have been challenging. God is truly testing our faith. It sometimes seems that we are getting nothing done with home school. We were having a particular hard day when I was in my parents room trying to calm down and control my thoughts when I said out loud, "God, why can't I just be "normal" and go to public school like other kids?" Then I turned around and looked at the reflection of me in my parents mirror, and laughed. How many times had I asked God to make me not "normal," not like the other people around me. How many times have I told others that we do not need to be like other people, we are God's servants. We are aliens to this world. Not the "normal" ones. I asked God a few weeks ago, "test me Lord", and he is testing me. We so have to remember not to confirm to the patterns of this world. To be different, not "normal." It says in James that part on true religion is to not confirm to the patterns of this world. It says many times in the bible that we are aliens to this world. We are God's faithful servants, and servants are humble. Being tested in my faith in this season of my life! Remembering to not be "normal."
