(if you have not read part one, scroll down to labels and click on 2012 Study)
In my last JOY post, I asked these questions:
What is Joy?
Do I have Joy?
Does God want us to have Joy?
Does God have Joy himself?
We went into depth to answer the first one, going into Hebrew words and definitions.
Now for the other 3.
Do I have Joy?...
Well, you are going to have to answer that one!
Does God want us to have Joy?...
I think absolutely YES! In the bible God tells us that there is a time for everything. For mourning, and for joy.
Does God have Joy himself?...
YES!! In his Word (the bible), it says that the joy of the LORD is our strength. So that tells us that he does indeed have JOY!
I would LOVE to hear your perspective on the word JOY in the comments, or you can share it with me privately by emailing my through the Contact Me page above.
Have a very JOYFUL Sunday!!!

Joy: part one (2012 study)
"You turned my wailing into dancing, you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy that my heart will sing to you and not be silent."
Psalm 30:11-12
What is Joy?
Do I have Joy?
Does God want us to have Joy?
Does God have Joy himself?
Joy: To spin around
Guwl: (Hebrew) Spin round
Hebrew:
Giyl: Revolution
Masows: An object of delight
Alaz: Jump
Aliyz: Exalt (lift up)
Ranan: Shout
After much researching the word joy, I came up with the above. After researching the word joy in Hebrew, I got the above. Go to your concordance in your bible, look up the word joy. There is TONS of verses with that word in them. JOY.
May the JOY of the Lord me your strength today!

Love: part four (2012 Study)
(if you have not read part one, two, or three, scroll down to lables and click on 2012 Study)
In part one I posted these three questions:
What is love?
How much does God love me?
Do we love God?
I started to answer the first one, but I want to follow up with that. Here is the Bible defenition for love:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always proects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
1 Corithians 13:4-7
Wow! That is the true meaning. Do you think we really love our neighbor like this? Do you treat the people at your work with love? Love is the most important commandment! So now to start answering the second question. How much does God love me?
God's love is impossible to explain. It is far beyond our words or understamding. this is the best answer I can give you:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
God gave his only son so he could save us. He did that just for us. That is how great God's love is for us. Moving on to the third question. Do we love God?
That is a question only you can answer. The bible says that part of loving God, is obeying him. So ask your self, do I obey God? If you are thinking right now I never hear from God, you are just not listening. He will speak. Ask him to. Start obeying scripture. Does your every day life have the love of God in it? Are you loving your neighbor as your self? Love is te GREATEST comandment.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul amd with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neghbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these."
Mark 12:30-31

2012 Study
One year, four different seasons, four different topics, one bible, different translations, one truth, one true God, one goal.
Love ~ Winter
Joy ~ Spring
Faith ~ Summer
Obedience ~ Fall
David
David had great Love for his people, he would weep when his enemy's died, David had Joy, expressed by his dancing and writing of Psalms, David's Faith was not shaken when he fought against a giant, David obeyed the Lord, he had obedience, when the prophets told him the word God sent to David through them and he did his best to listen and obey.
The Goal
To study about these topics and put it to action in our lives.
I encourage you to do your own study with the Lord, discipline yourself to do that, journal about it, and put it to action in your own lives. Let's make 2012 a Godly year, the answer to doing that? Read your bible, and obey God!
